User Testing

Do you allow users quick access to the information they are looking for? Do you make it possible for them them to understand the contents you provide? Is the key information well highlighted? There’s no better way to know the answer than to test your product.

Objective

User tests are our preferred method to measure the success of a product. Here, you are no longer dealing with ergonomic recommendations, but with objective and quantitative data collected from a sample of future users.

Procedure

User tests ensure that your product corresponds to consumer needs and follows the ISO 9241 measure (which requires efficacy, efficiency and user satisfaction).

The creation of a test requires to:
  • Formulate relevant hypotheses regarding the identified interface problems and the necessary tasks
  • Generate a sample of users that corresponds to your objectives
  • Observe and record user behavior as they perform tasks
  • Analyze the gathered data in order to understand and interpret the difficulties met by consumers
  • It is also possible to perform these analyses on a competitor’s product or on an old version of your own product, to obtain comparative results

Methodology

Thanks to our scientific background, we use a rigorous methodology that is optimized in relation to objectives. The technology of our Testing Laboratory (LudoLab) allows us to realize different types of tests:
"Classical" users testing
Recording of keyboard / mouse events and user behavior

Eye Tracking Tests

Advanced technology testing that allows us to understand users’ screen exploration process and the difficulties they meet during interaction

"Remote" testing

Testing by remote connection to users’ screens or PCs to study how tasks are performed

Our Test Reports describe the obtained results and formulate recommendations to correct the usability problems that have been identified.
