R&D in Psycho-Ergonomics
Ergonomics: official definition of SELF, the Société d'Ergonomie de Langue Française (French Language Ergonomics Society). Ergonomics (or the study of human factors) is the scientific discipline that seeks fundamental understanding of the interactions between human beings and other components of a system, and implementation during the design process of the relevant theories, principles, methods and data to improve the well-being of humans and the overall efficiency of systems.
HUD: Heads-Up Displays. Term used in video games to indicate information superimposed on the game screen; in other words, the in-game menus and all counters and information displays.
Interface: contact area between two systems that process information in two different ways, as is the case with humans and computers. Screens, keyboards, mouse and gaming devices are examples of interfaces.
