The usability design and eye tracking specialist consulting agency LudoTIC, has faced players of video games on the latest chapter of the series of Call of Duty® : Modern Warfare 3® (Activision) and made observations about eye movements of these players.

This video shows some of the results of the analysis of eye movements:
- First by the level of expertise of the players (VS Expert Beginners);
- Then depending on the input device (joystick vs. keyboard / mouse).

Tracking eye movements allows us to understand the game strategies of different players, and highlights novice and expert disparities, the learning curve, errors due to misreading data in the HUD (Heads-Up Display), and so forth.

In this video, the first track was recorded on a novice video game player, the second one on an expert:
- Player 1 focuses on "anything that moves";
- Player 2 immediately checks his equipment, weapons, and hit points.

This video contributed to our victory in the "Challenge Jeunes Pousses" start-up competition in 2004.
