Usability Audits

Whether you are working on an existing product or a prototype of a future interface, offer yourself an ergonomics audit to ensure quality in terms of usability.

Objective

Our goal is to generates a rapid analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of your interface, including precise and visual suggestions to correct any ergonomic errors.

Procedure

Our specific analysis grids, fruit of many years of research, work with every type of interface (software programs, websites, videogames...) and allow us to diagnose its ergonomics according to 13 fundamental principles:
  • The feedback users get from the system regarding tasks in progress and other possible choices
  • The respect of user profiles (competence, preferences, habits...)
  • The perception of control
  • The software's internal and external coherence (including respect of standards)
  • The management of user errors
  • The optimization of user performance during interaction
  • Layout and the use of space
  • Flexibility in relation to personal preferences and potential flaws
  • The management of cognitive overload
  • The User Experience (satisfaction with interaction)
  • The Human-Machine dialogue
  • Support and documentation provided
  • The optimization of collaborative features
In our grid each of these principles is declined through several questions, the answers to which allow us to develop a complete and standardized audit of the interface’s greatest problems. The audit report contains a description of the nature of each problem and suggestions to eliminate it, where necessary accompanied by “before and after” screenshots to illustrate the proposed changes.

Methodology

LudoTIC experts work on the interface following the analysis grid to develop a balance of strengths and weaknesses.

After generating the audit report, we present it to your team in order to share the results and finalize development guidelines.

If required, we also support you during the implementation of the proposed changes, to ensure the overall coherence of the result.
