Support in the creation of the UI
At the stage of defining the product’s technical characteristics, we support you in creating the interface to ensure that it:
- respects the principles of ergonomics (legibility, coherence, prevention of errors...)
- follows the logic of the users, based on the job specialties, their need and any other characteristic related to the project
Objective
Our unique methodology -
needs > tasks > screen > functionality - allows our clients to save up to 30% of their time on development, thanks to our complete, detailed, and user-based UI definition.
Procedure
We support our clients in the realization of their products. Specifically we:
-
"Transform" the data gathered about end users into recommendations for the organization of the interface, the choice of terminology and the development of the dynamics of possible tasks.
-
Realize static or dynamic mock-ups to illustrate the appearance and functionality of the future interface. These prototypes are very helpful in decision-making and can also be used to create mini user-tests.
-
Define the specifications that will provide IT technicians with development guidelines.
-
Coordinate the intervention of graphic designers in the realization of the final design.
Méthodologie
As "assistants of operational control" we organize:
- a system of support for stakeholders during the entire design period,
- "User Interface work groups" as required by the ISO 13407 measure, inviting all the principal actors of the project (marketers, designers, engineers...) and showing them the product prototypes and functionalities for validation.
An example of our interventions
Re-definition of the UI of a professional medical software
The UI before our intervention: outdated look & feel, problems in content organization and in the use of space
The representation of the new interface generated by our usability experts with Axure RP Pro. This also allowed us to develop user-based validation tests and to provide IT developers and graphic designers with guidelines
The final product we realized and put on the market: the Art Director added a modern look & feel to the software structure that was validated through consumer-based tests
